So May 19th marked one year since I started my 365 day project. For the first 100+ days, I found it easy to keep track. But midway through, I dealt with some depression and anxiety that caused me to fall off track in my digital life as well as my real life. It also became easier to just enjoy everyday instead of documenting it.
I am thankful to all my friends who have followed me and supported me during this project. Having people actually ask me about my blog made me want to post more often. It is amazing to look back at a year after graduation to reflect on SOOO many things that I did!
So this “last” picture is of the L train, the one by my house, where I have spent the majority of my life. Its funny that the picture caught “The next stop is.” I don’t know exactly where life will take me, but I’m happy to be on this crazy journey! I will continue to post on the blog, but I will utilize this in more ways than just an online “journal.” So stay tuned to see what the next 365 days have in store for JCMatos! Aooow!

Got home on Saturday to find out my friend’s apartment caught fire around 4 am. One of his roommates died :-(. I’m a bit shook from it all because I sometimes spend the night there. So although someone lost their life, I can’t help but think that I could have been there with them. Either way, my heart races when I see the building, so I thank God that I wasn’t meant to be there.
Finally got to plant the flowers in the backyard with my dad and my mom. The dirt in the backyard isn’t the best, but we mixed it with new soil and peat moss. There’s a mix of young plants, bulbs, and seeds. I’ll keep everyone updated with how the garden grows. Hopefully all the plants don’t die.
